These terms cover your use of the Macronome app, provided by Sidejar Holdings ApS, Denmark. By creating an account you agree to them.

Not medical advice

Macronome helps you track calories and protein. It is not a medical device and does not give medical or dietary advice. Calorie and protein targets are general estimates. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant, under 18, or have a medical condition or a history of disordered eating.

AI estimates

Food scans and descriptions are analyzed by AI. The results are estimates and can be wrong, sometimes by a lot. Always review them before logging. Calories burned come from Apple Health and are estimates too.

Your account

Keep your login details safe and give us accurate information. You must be at least 13. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: no attempts to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, and no automated or bulk use of the scanning features.

Subscriptions

If we offer paid features, they are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You manage and cancel them in your App Store account settings.

Food data

Product data comes from Open Food Facts, made available under the Open Database License. It is contributed by volunteers and may contain errors.

Liability

The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates in the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app.

Law

These terms are governed by Danish law.
